Women’s rights activists to share stories Thursday
By Katelyn McKey Correspondent For former Gainesville nurse Vivian Filer, the birth of her first son should have been a joyous occasion. But Filer, an African-American woman whose son was born in the 1960s at Alachua General Hospital, could only hold her newborn in the hallways.
