Neighbor Islands could play big role in governor race
In the 1970s, then-Honolulu Mayor Frank Fasi famously lost twoclose gubernatorial campaigns against Gov. George Ariyoshi bycapturing the most votes on O‘ahu only to be drubbed by theincumbent on the Neighbor Islands.
