House candidates: Tax cuts, more lending will spur jobs, economy
Massive federal spending on the stimulus package and growing debt have three challengers to U.S. Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D., vowing to cut spending, balance the federal budget and expand the economy. They say tax cuts and stability on economic policy, rather than government regulation and new mandates, are needed to put people back to work.
