Elliott Kastner dies at 80; independent producer of ‘The Missouri Breaks,’ ‘Where Eagles Dare’
Kastner produced or executive produced more than 70 films. In the 1970s he produced film versions of the Raymond Chandler novels “Farewell, My Lovely” and “The Big Sleep.” Elliott Kastner, the veteran independent producer of films such as “The Missouri Breaks,” “Equus” and “Where Eagles Dare,” has died. He was 80.

American Eagles nesting in middle of Lehigh Acres
A lot of people in Lehigh may know where the FGUA sewage treatment plant is off of Lee Blvd. and where the deep water injection well is located, but few know that the vast area of land is also a wildlife refuge and that the area, in the middle of Lehigh Acres, is fill with all types of wildlife.
